AFCON 2013 and the "not so" super eagles
well, we are expecting the final group game in Group C between Nigeria and the Ethiopians to either end in a draw OR a loss for Nigeria. Nairaland sums up the equations necessary for the eagles to qualify in their blog as follows:
Burkina faso tops the group with 4 points whilst Zambia and Nigeria both have 2 points and Ethiopia with a point, the Super Eagles need a win to qualify for the Quarter-final, If Burkina Faso Defeats Zambia and the Super Eagles Draw their final match, they will qualify as runners up in the group, but if Zambia Defeats Burkina Faso, Nigeria must win Ethiopia for a chance to qualify.
So nigeria has to wait for these sort of permutations to go through.
